1 1/4″ deck screws
4 – 3 1/2″ carriage bolt, nut, washer
4 – 3″ carriage bolt, nut, washer
A – 2 – 2×4 – 2′ 9 1/4″
B – 1 – 2×4 – 1′ 10 1/4″
C – 2 – 2×4 – 1′ 1 1/4″
D – 1 – 2×4 – 1′ 7 1/4″
H – 1 – 2×2 – 2′ 3 1/4″
I – 1 – 1×4 – 1′ 6 1/2″
Cut two 2×4’s to 2′ 9 1/4″ long (A). Cut one end of the 2×4 as shown in illustration above.
Cut one 2×4 to 1′ 10 1/4″ long (B). Drill pilot holes and screw 3″ deck screws through (B) and into (A).
Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 1 1/4″ long (C). Assemble as shown in illustration above.
Drill holes through (C) and into (A) and install 3 1/2″ carriage bolts.
Cut one 2×4 to 1′ 7 1/4″ long (D). Install as shown in illustration above, drill pilot holes and screw 3″ deck screws through (A) and into (D).
Cut six 1×4’s to 1′ 8″ long (E). Install as shown in illustration above. The seat slats (E) will have a 1/4″ gap between slats. The front end of the seat slats (E) will have 1/2″ overhang. Drill pilot holes and screw 1 1/4″ deck screws through (E) and into (A),(B), and (D).
Cut five 1×4’s to 2′ long (F). Gap the slats (F) 1/4″. Drill pilot holes and screw 1 1/4″ deck screws through (F) and into (D).
Cut two 2×4’s to 2′ long (G). Assemble as shown on illustration above. Drill pilot holes and screw 3″ deck screws through (G) and into (C).
Cut one 2×2 to 2′ 3 1/4″ long (H), Cut a 15-degree bevel cut along the edge of the 2×2. Drill holes through (G) and into (H), and install 3″ carriage bolts. Drill pilot holes and screw 1 1/4″ deck screws through (F) and into (H).
Cut one 1×4 to 1′ 6 1/2″ long (I). Install as shown in illustration above. Drill pilot holes and screw 1 1/4″ deck screws through (I) and into (F).
